Samaritan’s Feet seeks support from the NWA Gives Community so that we can continue to make a lasting impact in Northwest Arkansas. Your donations will go towards our Step Into Success: Healthy Feet for NWA Students Campaign that impacts students across Benton, Carroll and Washington Counties.
This initiative provides properly fitting new athletic shoes and socks to Pre-K through 8th Grade Students in need. Through strong partnerships with community organizations, the program will reduce barriers to attendance, enhance student readiness, promote improved physical fitness and strengthen community health connections to support long-term wellness for NWA Students. While providing love, hope, and encouragement through a new pair of Athletic Shoes and Socks to underserved student populations.
By partnering directly with school Counselors and District Outreach Liaisons, Samaritan’s Feet will ensure the outreach prioritizes underserved, or at-risk Students. Roughly 1 in 10 households in NWA live in poverty and need our help.
Improper footwear is a documented barrier to participation and attendance, causing discomfort, injuries, and embarrassment. At the same time, health screenings remain inconsistent: podiatric care is scarce for low-income families. Untreated foot health issues can impair mobility, learning, and confidence.
The Step Into Success initiative addresses these challenges by providing properly fitting shoes, socks, and essential supplies, along with onsite podiatry screenings at select events. This holistic approach reduces barriers to attendance, supports early detection of health concerns, and promotes long-term well-being for children in Northwest Arkansas.
