Samaritan’s Feet International is a trusted, global humanitarian organization driven by a simple yet powerful mission: to inspire hope and bring lasting change through the gift of new shoes. 

Since 2003, we have served almost 12 million people across 113 countries and 625+ U.S. cities.

We believe shoes are a foundation for physical health, educational opportunity, and emotional dignity. By combining practical support with messages of encouragement, we offer more than just footwear,  we offer a moment of human connection, compassion, and hope.

Hope in Every Step

Samaritan’s Feet has been serving Northwest Arkansas for over 15 years, partnering with schools, churches, and local nonprofits to meet real needs. These moments of positive change have helped lay the foundation for this opportunity to increase the impact on lives of children throughout NWA!

The One City Detroit Initiative is designed to bring together neighbors, religious leaders, community influencers, and public service personnel to serve 1,500 children, adults, and seniors in Detroit. This initiative goes beyond shoe distribution it’s about inspiring empathy, unity, and dignity. By partnering with local organizations and the Rocket Company, we aim to:

• Distribute 1,500 pairs of shoes to those in need.
• Engage the community in acts of service, including foot-washing, to foster connection.
• Create a lasting legacy of hope and compassion in Detroit.

  

WHY SHOES

A new pair of shoes is more than just footwear, it’s a gateway to better physical health, confidence, and opportunity for children, adults, and seniors.

In the United States:

• 1 in 7 children live in poverty; many lack properly fitting shoes, affecting their school attendance and self-esteem. 
• Only 1 in 3 children wear shoes that fit well, increasing risk of foot pain and developmental issues. 
• Nearly 9% of adults aged 65+ live below the U.S. poverty line, often facing health challenges exacerbated by improper footwear.

• Support Education: Help children focus in school by alleviating family concerns.
• Protect Health: Reduce the risk of foot-borne diseases.
• Foster Opportunity: Empower individuals to pursue education and economic advancement.

Samaritan’s Feet respectfully invites Northwest Arkansas and our partners at Yvonne Richardson Community Center (YRCC), local school districts, churches, area businesses, and local servant leaders to make a lasting change in the lives of OUR children.

Together, we can create a stronger, more hopeful future for these children-one step, one act of service, and one pair of shoes at a time.
