The Priority Center is Orange County’s largest nonprofit dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. They provide outreach, prevention, and intervention services to vulnerable families in our community. Their goal is to support families in crisis, foster resilience, and break the generational cycle of trauma.
Each year, The Priority Center serves more than 5,700 underserved children and their families, and reaches over 23,000 children and families annually through community outreach and education.
From May 7th until June 7th I will be running 1 mile to spread awareness and raise funds to help give every child in Orange County a bright future and a strong start in life. We believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing home free from abuse, neglect, and instability so they can reach their greatest potential. We are training in honor of families like Andre, a single father who was living in his car with his five-year-old twin girls until our programs intervened, and Paloma, a single mom at UCI balancing a baby, a full-time job, and school while navigating overwhelming life challenges. We are working to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families like theirs.
We invite you to join us in the fight against child abuse.
