I’m proud to support Whitney/Strong this Give for Good and invite you to join me. Whitney/Strong prevents gun violence and saves lives through practical, evidence-based education, training, safe storage, suicide prevention, and responsible firearm ownership.

Hope is very important to me, which is why I have decided to put my time and effort into this organization. At one point in my life, I was 17 years old and believed I was worth more dead than alive. Now, over a decade and a half later, I exist with more hope because of organizations like Whitney/Strong.

In Kentucky, 66% of firearm deaths are suicides. The problem is real, and education and hope are some of the keys to turning it around.

Suicide prevention is a big part of Whitney/Strong's overall mission of preventing gun violence through education and common-ground approaches. Hope exists for a better world, and Whitney/Strong is a big proponent of that hope. 

In my short time working at Whitney/Strong thus far, I have seen firsthand how hope can hit people. It can change a view of life. It can alter a system of thinking. It can create something wonderful. Hope is worth it, and Whitney/Strong will continue to help create it.
