CA - Sarah Bagnani Kindergarten Paradise teacher

My students are from Paradise, California.... the town burned down in the Camp Fire in November 2018. It has been 2 years, and the town is still cleaning up and slowly rebuilding. Our families have been traumatized, as many lost everything. I have a mix of students that their house survived, and many that lost everything, including precious family pets. Then the pandemic hit. That was kind of like a strike two for our families. We opened to in-person instruction at the end of September. Our families are so grateful for the support we offer to their children. I've had the best attendance rate this year!

I want to incorporate supplemental materials that will bring learning to life and that the students are passionate about! My goal every year is that students will have every letter and every sound (short vowels) by October!
