HHHS is participating in a challenge to raise $6,000 to help us with our spay-neuter clinic!

$6,000 goal

In the fall of 2020, we announced we are embarking on constructing a low-cost spay-neuter clinic that will allow us to sterilize more pets in our community. This will help us reduce our shelter numbers and keep our intake at a more manageable number. With an intake average of 6,000 animals per year, many of these are unwanted litters. We also know that spaying and neutering helps reduce pets straying from home.

As part of this construction project, we are also adding a dog isolation ward that can house puppies who are positive with parvo, a cat isolation ward that can treat contagious diseases like ringworm, and a kitten area to house tiny baby kittens separate from our other cats. This will help us save more lives by preventing the spread of disease! While we have most of the money raised, we do still have a little ways to go. We need equipment and kennels, and we need your help to make this a reality.

MightyCause is hosting a challenge, in partnership with the Gannett Foundation, where our cause is eligible for several grant opportunities to go towards this project but we need your help! To show that this cause is important to our community and an investment that our own neighbors believe in, we have to raise at least $6,000 between July 19th and August 13th. All funds you donate through this campaign will go towards the spay-neuter clinic project, and each dollar you donate will help us get closer to our goal of raising even more funds!
