Thank you  for visiting our fundraising page!  We invite you to consider becoming a MACC supporter today!

At this pivotal moment, the need for deep connections that provide healing, hope and vibrancy is greater than ever before. Our work brings restoration and quality of life to individuals and communities throughout Middle TN.  Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center has renewed its mission and dedication to restoring the quality of life for our local community, serving our members through educational programs and exhibitions, free arts-based outreach programs and events to our community.

At this critical moment in our organization's history, you have a unique opportunity to multiply your financial gift when you donate today!  Until 8PM CST on August 12, 2022, your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a generous patron who has offered to help us raise much-needed funds to continue our service to the community though the arts. Also, your gift enables us to qualify for operating grants, major prizes and other fundraising awards through the Gannett Foundation's "A Community Thrives" initiative! There has never been a better time to give to the MACC and see maximum impact on every dollar you invest!  Your support helps us accomplish incredible things for our Middle TN community.

What does your gift help us accomplish?

Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center is the only Sumner County site that connects our region to comprehensive arts and cultural resources, including after-school youth arts education, workshops, summer camps, museum-quality exhibitions, local and regional music events and cultural performances, reaching 35,000+ visitors annually.

Local families and children seeking creative arts learning opportunities are attracted to the quality of programming and benefits of the arts (improved academic performance, lower drop-out rates, improved innovation, entrepreneurship skills). Seniors are attracted to Monthaven for its inviting atmosphere, art classes, volunteer opportunities, and creative camaraderie.

Arts outreach programs offer in-person/virtual arts engagement activities to 3500+ underserved community members, including seniors, veterans coping with PTSD, differently-abled residents, and low income, at-risk youth and families in Middle TN.  Exhibition Connect: Community Outreach (EC:CO) programming broadens our reach as a regional hub and strengthens the community impact of each exhibition.

Monthaven’s new Healing Arts Program incorporates the modalities of art, music, creative writing, drama, movement and play through small group sessions to help individuals (troubled youth, impoverished single mothers, combat veterans and first responders who have experienced PTSD and trauma) unlock past experiences, understand their pain, encourage healthy expression, and ultimately embrace healing.  Led by professional Creative Arts therapists, MACC's Healing Arts Program focuses on moving individuals through a process of coping through trauma, abuse, major loss, grief and depression, considering unique neurological, emotional and cultural needs and strategies through the power of intermodal creative expression.

Rotating exhibitions at the MACC bring museum-quality art and accomplished artists to our region, such as Pablo Picasso, Alexandre Renoir, Autumn de Forest, Manuel, and Helen LaFrance, encouraging interaction, creative inspiration, and hands-on engagement activities. As a pre-Civil War historical site, Monthaven preserves local heritage and provides learning opportunities. Our educational and outreach programs provide enjoyable, quality arts instruction to youth and adults in a variety of disciplines that is valuable in increasing cultural awareness, academic performance, creative and entrepreneurial skills.

Monthaven is committed to be a unique place where youth and adults of all ages, abilities, racial and socio-economic backgrounds are given opportunities to be inspired, where multi-generational memories are made, educational seeds are sown, and creativity is cultivated.  The MACC serves our at-risk community through culturally relevant exhibitions, strategic programming and impactful outreach efforts that continue to deepen and expand the ongoing cultural dialogue.

Thank you for considering a gift to Monthaven today. Your support helps us nurture creativity and culture within the heart of our community.
