SPARKING CHANGE Youth Leadership Program

Each week, for the next month, we will have a unique campaign to support different parts of the SPARKING CHANGE Youth Leadership Program. 

This is Week One - During this week, our goal is to have the most individual donors and reach $3,000! If we reach this goal, that means our organization could win the bonus challenge of $5,000 and will be qualified to win a fundraising grant! 

The SPARKING CHANGE Youth Leadership Program 

What am I supporting? The SPARK Initiative's newest program, The SPARKING CHANGE Youth Leadership Program, will begin in January 2021. This year-long, intensive and immersive internship program will gather 10 inspiring, young change-makers to form a strong coalition for  positive, sustainable change in their   community. Our goal is to help these future change-makers understand their own mental health and well-being, while providing  the knowledge and tools to create their own plan or initiative for a positive difference in their own community.

Throughout the year, the internship will guide and support each chosen intern in learning about the power of their mind and resilience, and will culminate in them launching their own community initiative. 

All donations through A Community Thrives fundraiser will go directly towards each one of these young people's year-long tuition's to complete the internship program. 

What will an intern gain from the SPARKING CHANGE Youth Leadership Program? 1 Year Youth Leadership Development - Youth Learning about their minds as the origin of change, and receive assistance designing and executing their own projects to make sustainable change in their community and beyond! 

Youth Mentorship Training - Developing youth facilitators to deliver programs in schools and community organizations - teaching younger kids about resilience, well-being, and the mind. 

On the Ground Live Training and Observation - Opportunities to observe and co-teach with the SPARK team in local programs (schools, community organizations, and jails). 

An opportunity to Attend the Global change Incubator, a 10 month, national leadership program through the IOS Collective and travel to Chicago, IL and Portland, OR. to work with other youth-led organizations. https://www.ioscollective.org/incubator

A Stipend - For completing the full program and creating their own community impact project.
