HELP THE LONGHORN HOPE CENTER THRIVE AGAIN
Longhorn Hope Center serves over 100 children each week and functions as a community center. Cy-Hope needs to replace the unit due to water and pipe damage sustained during Hurricane Harvey and Winter Storm Uri. Foundry Church will match the first $10,225 in donations!
These funds would help Cy-Hope:
- Purchase a gently-used mobile home.
- Fund the relocation of the old unit and the move-in of the replacement unit.
- Make any necessary repairs and renovations to our new Hope Center structure.
- Provide a safe Hope Center for this underserved community for many years to come.
Once again, Longhorn residents would have their community center where families enjoy seasonal events and students receive the support they need.
Longhorn has served this community twice a week during school and daily over the summer for over ten years. Children often wait for us to open the doors and let them in after school, as many would otherwise go home to an empty house. A literacy program helps students read at or above grade level as studies show students who struggle with reading in third grade have a greater chance of dropping out of school. Cy-Hope also provides food assistance to alleviate food insecurity in this community.
Please help our Longhorn Hope Center thrive again!
