Help the Holter continue to bring the arts to the Helena community to ignite creativity for all!

$1,000 goal

With all of the ups and downs of the past year and a half behind us, we are so excited to invite people back into the Holter and continue to be a hub for the arts in our community. All because of you and your amazing support, the healing power of art was able to help so many through our programs, events, and Healing Arts Program - both virtually and in-person!

During the shutdown, we talked at length to our partners about what they would like to see in a community-based creative art center. We were able to apply this feedback to our newest project: the E. L. Wiegand Creativity Center at the Holter Museum - also known as the W - a re-imagined space in the Sherman and Millikan galleries bringing accessible arts experiences of all kinds to our community!

This reinvigorated space will include:

- Flexible arts learning spaces for workshops, demonstrations, and classes

- A community stage for performances, lessons, and other events

- A community gallery to showcase work from local groups participating in W programming and from up-and-coming local artists

- Additional rental space for the Helena community

The W will provide more arts learning and experiences for all ages! This flexible learning space will serve as a creative hub, introducing artists of all ages to traditional art like drawing and painting, but also provide opportunities to explore dance, music, digital arts, and so much more! All experiences in the W will build off of current exhibits and art displays in the Holter, providing a more immersive and interactive arts experience that focus on important issues and topics.

The mission of the W is to create a safe, accepting space to amplify community and encourage connection through creativity after a year of being apart. This space is by and for our community, meaning that it is here for you in whatever way you find most meaningful. After such a difficult year, all of us at the Holter are committed to intentionally moving forward with hope and healing in mind - meeting all community members and groups where you are.

Your gift of $500, $250, or $100 today will help the Holter continue to connect and inspire creativity in our community through making arts learning and experiences more accessible AND expanding our programs to reach more people!

Your gift now will ensure that we are able to bring meaningful arts experiences and amplify the voices of all in our community. Will you help us continue to ignite creativity and bring arts healing into our community?
