AHTN runs 4 missions that help the homeless and those in need in Lower Bucks County.  We were founded in 2009 and are a 501(c)(3) since 2011.  Our Code Blue winter shelter takes place in a local church from Dec. 1 - March 31 when temperatures plummet to 26 degrees, including wind chill.  It takes 18 AHTN volunteers to run the winter shelter.  Our homeless guests receive a cot, bedding, winter clothing, a nutritious dinner and breakfast when they come into our shelter.  AHTN's Wheels to Meals mission provides daily meals to our homeless friends by partnering with 42 different houses of worship in Lower Bucks.  The houses of worship have their volunteers make "to go" meals and AHTN volunteers deliver the meals to our homeless friends near their encampments.  Our friends get a meal every day of the week, month and year.  Our Those in Need mission provides emergency services to the vulnerable.  The most requested need is emergency shelter for those experiencing a housing crisis.  We provide individual, couples and families with children temporary shelter so they can have a safe haven while they connect with The Housing Link to get an assessment done on their situation.  The Bristol Calvary Food Pantry provides meals for those staying at the motel.  Our Shower Mission is every Wed. from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the Rodeway Inn.  Individuals can get a shower and get transportation to the laundromat. AHTN has dedicated and passionate volunteers that help make sure that these services run efficiently.
