When released from prison or jail, a woman may not have a safe place to live or a viable address needed for a photo ID. My Sister's House offers eight women such a place, with wrap-around support services from a caring and non-judgmental staff.
We estimate an operational cost of $90 per bed per night for 365 days per year to provide our program to women working on their reentry to the community. Your support to Adopt-A-Bed for a sister will make it possible for her to focus on the opportunities available to realize a self-reliant and positive future for herself and her children.
This handmade quilt has been made for this campaign by Sheila Faith, of the Twin River Quilting Guild. This wonderful group has made over 30 unique quilts for each bed at My Sister's House with the understanding that when a woman moves on and out of our home, she will take her quilt with her.
