Welcome to Dawn's Helping Hands Humane Society fundraising page! We created this fundraiser in memory of our beloved mother Dawn Marie Harris (Chalmers) who lost her life December 13, 2025.
Dawn adopted her beloved Phoebe from Helping Hands Humane Society in 2012 shortly after she started her battle with breast cancer. They quickly became inseparable and the best of friends. They went everywhere together. Phoebe was her constant, her companion, and there for her during some of the toughest times of Dawn's life. Dawn lost Phoebe in September of 2024. She loved Phoebe so much that she requested to be laid to rest with her cremains when her time came one day. We honored her wishes - she and Phoebe will now lay in rest forever together in Rochester Cemetery. A bond still unbroken.
