Alysia Jean

I'm Alysia, and I've been living with polycystic kidney disease (PKD) since my 20s. It started with high blood pressure and pain, but soon the cysts on my kidneys began to multiply, growing by the hundreds. Eventually, they took over, causing my kidneys to shut down. My kidneys are now enlarged, each over 23cm, causing constant pain and discomfort. I've been on dialysis for over 4 and a half years, but the wait for a transplant is long - 5 to 7 years.

But here's the thing: funding for my transplant and related expenses is a huge challenge. I need your help to raise at least $20,000 to cover the costs of surgery, medication, and recovery. Every little bit counts, and your support would mean the world to me.

Dialysis has taken a toll on me, leaving me feeling sick and exhausted. I long for a normal life, free from pain and fatigue, for myself and for my loved ones. I've been married to my sweetheart for 39 years, and we've built a loving family with three sons, two daughter-in-laws, and a grandson on the way. But my polycystic kidney disease has drastically changed and challenged my life. I long to spend quality time with them, feel good, and create more memories together. But dialysis leaves me feeling sick and exhausted, making it hard to keep up with my family's busy lives. Your support would mean the world to me and my family.

Please consider sharing my story and helping me find a living donor, and also contributing to my fundraising campaign. Together, we can make a difference and give me a second chance at life!
