Aaron Webb
Transplant Type: Bone Marrow
What if you were living on borrowed time?
Aaron Webb is fighting for his life. He was diagnosed with sickle cell beta thalassemia at birth, in August 2013. He has battled complications from the disease several times in his short seven years of life. Aaron’s condition has continued to worsen, and now doctors say a stem cell transplant is critical for his survival. His brother, Aiden, will serve as his bone marrow donor.
Despite his recent health obstacles, Aaron is grateful to have a loving and supportive family. His parents and siblings have been by his side every step of the way. While awaiting his transplant, Aaron often spends weeks in the hospital at a time. This not only impacts his schoolwork but puts much stress on his family. Aaron looks forward to receiving his transplant so that he can be healthy enough to run and play with his brothers and sister. More than anything, his family wants Aaron to have the opportunity to grow up and have a chance to live life, but right now, he needs your help.
Unfortunately, Aaron’s hope for a new life comes at a very high price.
The average allogenic stem cell transplant costs more than $1 million, and that is only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover the cost of his transplant, Aaron still faces significant expenses related to the procedure.
Aaron lives more than 100 miles from the transplant center, and his family incurs substantial expenses each time he visits for evaluations and doctors’ appointments. When he receives his transplant, Aaron and his mother will need to stay near the hospital, during recovery, adding to the financial strain.
You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to the National Foundation for Transplants in honor of Aaron.
If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to the National Foundation for Transplants, 3249 W. Sarazen’s Circle, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Aaron Webb” in the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity!
