Home for Thompson Family

We are raising 50k towards the building of a home for a family devastated by gun violence.  In 2021, single mother Chanitra Thompson and her seven children home was shot up, in a case of mistaken identity.  Ms. Thompsons, home was riddled by bullets and lucky she and her children were able to avoid bullets but lost their home and struggle in the aftermath.  Ms. Thompson and her children have lived in hotels, faced homeless and currently are split up between family members and friends to have a place to live. Due to trying to keep the family together and help the kids to get through the PTSD of gun violence,  Tricities Habitat for Humanity has stepped up to assist and need YOUR HELP. Tricities Habitat for Humanity has secured a plot of land in Petersberg VA, to build a seven bedroom home for the family and needs 50k to finish the building and furnishing of the home.  

Ms. Thompson will donate 300 hours of volunteer service to TriCities Home for Habitat and also attend homeownership courses and become employed with Homes for Habitat.  Giving this single mother an opportunity to not only get back on her feet but give an example to her children.  Your donations and contributions will not only build the home, but bring this family back together under one roof.
