Pat's Lift Your Voices Fundraiser - House of Ruth

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and every year I reach out to my friends and family for support of our life-saving work at House of Ruth. This year has been challenging for many people due to the impact of coronavirus. But imagine the added barrier of being trapped at home during a Stay at Home order with your abuser. House of Ruth saw an 80% increase in hotline calls during the first few months of pandemic outbreak. Raising awareness for domestic violence is important to me. At House of Ruth, we're dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence and the safety and well-being of everyone that is impacted by it. Our vision is to end domestic violence and promote healthy relationships. But we can't do that without your support. Your donation will help us continue to provide safe shelter, counseling for adults and children, support groups, art therapy, case management, housing options and prevention education for people that have been impacted by intimate partner abuse; where the traumatic effects can be long lasting.
