Center For Neighborhoods provides tools and knowledge to residents who love their neighborhoods and want to actively engage in shaping where they live. We believe that people are the heartbeat of every neighborhood. We provide civic leadership training and help residents develop a shared vision for their neighborhood.

Who We Are

For over 45 years, Center For Neighborhoods has cultivated grassroots leadership, facilitated civic dialogue among stakeholders, provided leadership education, partnered with neighborhoods in community planning efforts and actively participated in neighborhood-based development & improvement projects. We work in three key areas: Community Engagement, Education, and Planning & Design. Our flagship programs include the Neighborhood Institute, Better Block-Louisville, and the annual Neighborhood Summit. We envision a Louisville community of great neighborhoods led by engaged neighbors who are creating unique places that provide a high quality of life and equitable access to opportunity for all.
