YWCA's Mission:  eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom & dignity for all.

Our Vision: a thriving, inclusive, and just SE Wisconsin defined by racial and gender equity as the foundation for healthy communities.

YWCA Southeast Wisconsin's work has 3 pillars: Economic Empowerment, Racial Justice, and Health & Safety. ):  Economic Empowerment programs use 3 integrated approaches to job readiness for individuals: Adult Ed (the largest community-based high school credentialing program in WI with wrap-around support), Personal Financial Management, and our Opportunity Advancement Center.  These programs serve 10,000+ people annually (Milwaukee & Racine); 90-95% live at/below the poverty line.

In addition, system change work focuses on frequent collaborations and we are the region's  “go-to” racial justice resource. That is how we #FueltheFuture.
