YWCA's Mission:  eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom & dignity for all. This is our #OneMission

Our Community Thrives because of our #OneMission Adult Ed Economic Empowerment Programs. Our Vision: a thriving, inclusive, and just SE Wisconsin defined by racial and gender equity as the foundation for healthy communities. Changing the lives of women (and some men) and their families!

Our Community Thrives when we help people build their futures - job readiness for today and a foundation for tomorrow.  The cornerstone of our Economic Empowerment Programs is education both formal and practical. YWCA SEW's  Economic Empowerment programs use 3 complementary approaches to job readiness for individuals: Adult Ed (the largest community-based high school credentialing program in WI with wrap-around support), Personal Financial Management coaching and workshops, and our Opportunity Advancement Center (OAC).  Assuring these programs stay strong and expand is part of our region's COVID recovery.  The results of our approach?  A dramatically growing Adult HS program with mothers graduating, ready for more education and better equipped to support their children's educations. Financial literacy so folks can repair credit and stabilize their housing.  Job seekers get acces to the internet in our OAC to seek better opportunities and work with our team to prepare resumes, practice interviews and secure family-supporting jobs.  These programs serve thousands and with your support can expand.

All programs are designed and delivered through a racial justice lens because that's how A Community Thrives.  That is how our #OneMission works!
