Our program addresses the needs of women who are incarcerated or formerly incarcerated.

While considering the differences between female and male ex-offenders, the difference is

enormous.

With the recent advent of the Pandemic, our formerly incarcerated find themselves lacking

education, attempting to survive in an environment of massive prisoner releases and a

dwindling list of programs for the formerly incarcerated.

WISE believes in meeting women where they are, helping them with whatever arises, such as

housing, food, interview clothing, hygiene supplies, navigating the Welfare System, or

navigating the Child Protective Services system. These are examples of what formerly

incarcerated women endure after release. Therefore, and most importantly, WISE will be

there when emergencies arise and support where it is needed.

Ex-offenders with felony records have difficulty getting back into

mainstream society. The person will quickly discover how complicated it is to find work

and an apartment and regain essential citizen services because of their felonies. In addition, our women have

suffered traumas and are looking for a support system to help them recover from various scenarios, including domestic violence, addiction, and prostitution.

Our journey with our clients is a unique journey designed to introduce our women to the

worlds they created over the past years, the world of bad choices, questionable behavior,

and repetition. We strive to ignite a consciousness that will support a more meaningful life for

our clients. With moments of discovery, sharing, and self-evaluation, we give our women an

opportunity to reconstruct their lives.

In short, WISE provides not only essential supportive services but also mental health and

emotional support. Each lady undergoes an individualized roadmap and timeline.
