All children deserve a healthy smile
About 20% of elementary aged children have at least one untreated decayed tooth and children from low-income families are 2x as likely to have cavities as children from higher-income households. It is estimated that over 34 million school hours are lost each year due to dental emergencies. Children within the underserved population cannot afford to miss more class time. This is why we bring quality dental care to them - right at school!
What we do and how you can help
Tri-County Dental's Robert Glass Focus on the Children program (RGFOC) provides FREE dental care to elementary-aged students in Outagamie, Winnebago, and Calumet counties who qualify for their school's free and reduced lunch program. These students come from families who often have nowhere else to go for dental care. Limited income and transportation issues mean dental office visits cannot be a priority. The RGFOC program offers low-income and uninsured students exams, x-rays, cleanings, sealants, and restorative care at their school during school hours - all for FREE - with the use of our 3 chair mobile dental bus. This means less class time missed for kids, less work time missed for parents, and no need to find reliable transportation to a traditional clinic.
Your donation helps pay for supplies and general expenses needed for the RGFOC program. This includes: mirrors, fluoride varnish, prophy kits, x-ray equipment, sealant material, and restorative tools; in addition to costs associated with the mobile dental bus.
