Help us provide local kids with back to school essentials so they can start the year with dignity!

Back to school is hard. For children in families who struggle to provide the basic essentials for survival like food and shelter, it can be even harder. The power of clothes to impact our self-esteem is immeasurable. When kids wake up in the morning and can put on something they enjoy wearing and is well-fitting and comfortable, it can impact their attitude and performance throughout the day.

With funds raised through this year's fundraising challenge "Back to School with Dignity" we can help our clients provide their children with back-to-school essentials like clothing, shoes, backpacks etc.  If we exceed our fundraising goals, we will provide additional assistance so parents can purchase winter coats and boots. 

WE HOPE THIS SMALL GESTURE WILL HAVE A BIG IMPACT ON LOCAL KIDS IN NEED!

FOR OVER 100 YEARS, THE VOLUNTEERS AT SOCIAL SERVICE ASSOCIATION OF RIDGEWOOD & VICINITY HAVE BEEN DEDICATED TO HELPING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.

We are neighbors helping neighbors — on a mission to provide food, emergency rent, utility assistance and support services to individuals & families in Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Midland Park, Ho-Ho-Kus, Wyckoff and Waldwick, New Jersey.
