SCRAP Gallery

A nonprofit organization

S.C.R.A.P. Gallery addresses two of today's most urgent issues - the environment and the education of our youth.

Our mission is to actively engage youth as stewards of their environment through a concentrated, hands-on, educational effort stressing the Four R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Responsibility. Guided by our mission and through our programs, we are committed to working to create a more just, equitable and sustainable future for people and the planet.

We work with youth from all over to promote conservation and reuse by teaching them to creatively practice the Four R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Responsibility.

Landfills are the modern world's answer to disposing trash - resources that can be reused and/or recycled and waste that can be harmful to our environment.  According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the United States has approximately 3,091 landfills with the majority having a 10-year plus capacity.  So what happens after that?  At the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery, it is our goal to not only teach children, but involve them as active participants and citizens of the world in taking care of the environment.

The S.C.R.A.P. Gallery addresses complex environmental issues by demonstrating the need and practice of recycling.  In our ever-changing COVID-19 world, there is a continual development of special projects, new exhibitions and outreach services that achieve student involvement in recycling/art issues and communicates with the general public the need for ongoing environmental awareness and practices.

Help make a difference for kids and the environment!
