We’re participating in the “A Community Thrives” program, sponsored by the USA TODAY NETWORK, which is challenging nonprofit organizations across the country to raise funds for a chance to win money for their programs.
We are launching programming at the city’s new short-term family shelter in Ward 8, The Rolark, bringing toys, fun games, and developmental activities to children in this new facility. Your support will ensure that children who live in this new shelter each get time to build self-confidence, take healthy risks, solve problems creatively, and develop new friendships.
We only have four weeks to make this happen; our deadline is noon on October 16. Are you in?
Your support will make a big impact on the lives of children living in the Rolark shelter. The effects of play are integral to brain development, emotional regulation, establishing relationships, and so much more. Children experiencing homelessness deserve every chance to thrive.
