Founded in May 2015, Gullotta House Inc is an award-winning non-profit. Our mission is helping Westchester residents facing immediate hardships. Income is not a factor; hardship is the driving force behind the help and support Gullotta House can offer.
Together, with your generosity, support, and dedication we are ready to help more Westchester County residents including children, seniors, veterans, the homeless, families facing hardships and our neighbors who had unexpected setbacks. We are helping our community's fire and flood victims, those experiencing loss of life, medical expenses, or situations which left our neighbors with no money for heating oil, car repairs or food emergencies. During the of the COVID-19 pandemic our volunteers served and delivered over 150,000 free meals to the many hungry families in the communities most impacted.
Gullotta House is ready to take the next step! Gullotta House Needs a Home. The time has come for Gullotta House to create transitional housing for fire and flood victims and residents who have been displaced by unforeseen circumstances. With this campaign we are hoping to raise sufficient funds to buy a residence to use as emergency temporary housing for those in need. Ideally, we would provide shelter, meals, and laundry services for multiple families for 29 days while they look for alternatives after sustaining a devastating loss. Since launching this campaign, we have raised over $15,000. Our goal is to raise $350,000 to reach our objective.
We at Gullotta House are all volunteers. Our call to action and the funds raised in this challenge will go immediately back into the communities we serve - helping those most in need in a time of crisis. We assist our neighbors who are less fortunate with the necessities of life and offer a helping hand to ALL IN NEED.
We start every year with our Hudson River Plunges held in Ossining and Tarrytown known as the “Escape from Sing Sing Plunge” and “Headless Horseman Plunge.” In frigid temperatures our volunteers and supporters brave the freezing Hudson River to raise money to fund our programs. We have watched our Plunge grow year after year: in 2022, we raised over $47,000. We are deeply thankful to all who pledge and plunge.
Every year for Thanksgiving, we give away hundreds of free turkeys and host a Thanksgiving meal for hundreds of people that would have otherwise been alone. We were happy to host an in person Thanksgiving dinner in 2021 and provide a full holiday meal for people in our community. We were able to deliver free Thanksgiving meals directly to those who would not have had a Thanksgiving without our assistance. Your donations help us continue these efforts!
Community, connection, caring - Gullotta House strives for all of those...and more!
