Do you remember getting your first library card? How about Storytime when you were young? Did you get excited about checking out new books each week? Did you find acceptance at the Teen Book Club, no matter what the rest of the world thought? Libraries are a part of each of us and now, more than ever, they are key to ensuring our citizens are active, informed, educated, and involved in their communities.

The Garden City Library Building Fund is raising money to construct a new building to house the Garden City Public Library, including all the necessary furniture and equipment needed for a modern library. Currently, the Library leases a small space from the City's Community Center. However, the City administration's priorities for that space have changed drastically; the Library Fund must construct a new building sooner than originally planned. Your donation will help us make that happen. First step: architectural plans!

Whether your donation is $5 or $500, you will help ensure the community has a modern space for new moms to connect at baby story-times; for elderly people to attend events and make new friends during a time filled with difficult life transitions; where teens can meet up after school in the library's teen space; and where readers can discuss current events. Let's do this together!
