Gahanna Sanctuary

A nonprofit organization

The Gahanna Foundation is an IRS sanctioned 501(c)3 private nonprofit Foundation formed in 2018 to raise gifts, grants or endorsement to help help with worthwhile neighborhood projects.

TGS's flagship project was lighting the iconic 1895 Gothic Revival bell tower at the Gahanna Sanctuary, a historic former Peace Lutheran Chuck that today is an all-season event venu located in Olde Downtown Gahanna.

Interested in affordable high impact community initiatives that make positive civic statements by achieving unique accomplishments, TGS envisions participation in 2022 in one or more of theses activity areas:

VOTING

Through education, information and grassroots outreach, increasing voter registration among the reservoir of age-eligible but still unregistered citizens.

AUTISM AND MUSIC

Partner with Band Together, a Pittsburgh, PA based autism development nonprofit, and central Ohio autism groups to launch the first expansion location of Band Together, which provides an opportunity and an environment to foster creative engagement with children on the autism spectrum.

NEW GAHANNA CITY FLAG

History shows the important role flags have played over the centuries. Empires have been won and lost with winning and losing flags marking the moment of change. Gahanna has a flag very know and even fewer flying it. TGF desires to sponsor a community design competition to produce a new flag that can be flown by residents and businesses alike.

FRIENDS FOR LIFE

Friends for Life is a children's health literacy series designed to adapt to uses on the stage, in print or digitally, to educate children to basic health information and beyond.
