$30,000 Goal

Rewriting the story of Arizona's foster youth.

Of the 900 youth who age-out of foster care in Arizona each year, many find themselves without the types of support most young adults need. Too many young people who experienced the foster care system struggle to successfully establish stable housing, hold a job, obtain reliable transportation, or care for their own physical and mental health. When 50% of former foster youth experience homelessness within two years of aging-out, 50% are unemployed at the age of 24, and only 3% complete a degree of higher education, we believe it's time to rethink the solution.

How will your donation be used?

With help from the 2020 A Community Thrives Grant Challenge and other funding sources, Foster360 opened the Culver Campus in downtown Phoenix. The Culver Campus is an intensive personal development program and transitional housing program currently home to 8 young adults who would have otherwise been homeless. In the first two months of their participation, all of the unemployed youth had found stable employment and/or enrolled in a continuing education program. With your help today, we plan to open a second property capable of housing and serving an additional 10 youth.
