These guiding principles keep us focused on interventions targeting Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten students that demonstrate results toward kindergarten readiness. 

Programs:

ReadingPals: Our ReadingPals are volunteer Pre-Kindergarten mentors who work individually with 4- and 5-year-old students to help them build important pre-literacy and social-emotional skills necessary for kindergarten readiness.

Family Engagement: Families are a child’s first and best teacher. ReadyKids! programming actively engage families in their children’s early literacy development. We support families by sending home weekly prompts for child engagement, providing children’s books for their home library, partnering in school-based family nights, and sharing community resource information.

Educator Support: Our educators are our partners. At ReadyKids!, we support our educators by collecting resources and supplies for our targeted classrooms, inviting volunteers to assist with classroom activities and events, and providing additional support as needed throughout the year.
