Since our conception in 2006, Viridiant has been advocating for the protection of our living environments, inside and out, Viridiant is your trusted building science expert. In the beautiful downtown scene of Richmond, Virginia, Viridiant has a reach in the Commonwealth and beyond, ensuring communities are educated, empowered, and encouraged to make sustainable changes that will last in homes for generations to come. 

Our mission, to advance sustainability, energy efficiency, and affordability in housing is salient, aligning with the needs of our communities and the environment. In an effort to address lower-middle-income families, Viridiant wants to fund 100 home energy audits. A Viridiant home energy audit is a top-to-bottom home inspection that assesses a home's energy efficiency. Experts evaluate air flow, duct and window seals, insulation, and crawl space and attic setup to recommend DIY projects that can save homeowners between $145-1,000 annually on their energy costs. While this service is typically offered at cost, we know that by offering this service for free we can unite communities by helping to create safer, resilient homes that homeowners can be proud of.  Furthermore, we reduce carbon emissions and the overall footprint of communities in the Greater Richmond area.
