Caring for Grieving Families: Shining Light on Grief – Plant Seeds of Hope, Healing & Nourishment

The holidays can be especially challenging for families navigating the pain of loss. Memories of loved ones who are no longer with us can make this season feel heavy, and creating new traditions can feel overwhelming.

At the Donovan Hines Foundation, we understand that grief touches both the heart and the practical aspects of daily life. That’s why, in addition to offering grief support, coping resources, and community connection, we are committed to helping families meet their basic needs during this difficult time.

This season, we are proud to continue our initiatives:

• Summer Meal Program: Ensuring children and youth have access to nutritious meals.

• Hunger Task Force Stockboxes for Seniors: Delivering food to sustain and nourish our older community members.

We are also hosting a holiday food drive, and we invite you to join us in supporting families who may be struggling with food insecurity during the holidays. Your donations help provide nourishment, comfort, and hope to those who need it most.

The Donovan Hines Foundation provides bereavement counseling to individuals and families impacted by the loss of a loved one to violence. We recognize that grief is a response to all forms of loss, not just death.

The Foundation also focuses on the holistic connection between mental health awareness and substance use prevention, addressing critical issues within our community. We are committed to positively shaping character and supporting individuals to become outstanding, contributing members of society.

With our enhanced organizational structure, the Donovan Hines Foundation of Exuberance Co. is expanding its programs and services, providing individuals with the confidence, resources, and guidance they need to reach their full potential and thrive.

The Donovan Hines Foundation implemented Bereavement Support programs as a method of healing and prevention such as:
