Have you every encountered a homeless Veteran living on the street and wondered how you could really help? Sharing a few dollars for food is a kind gesture but it is not a longterm fix. We invite you to join us in implementing a meaningful solution to help end Veteran Homelessness.
The CRTC has partnered with "Pennies for Quarters” a 501(c)(3) non profit organization to build a 24 unit tiny home transitional housing development here in Port Angeles Washington that will be a refuge for healing and opportunity to find purpose through job training and internship programs. These small 240 square foot homes will be private and secure and supported with a 2000 square foot common building for daily meals and social health services. A community garden and job resource center will also provide opportunity for healing and growth.
The CRTC is introducing a revolutionary new type of construction that incorporates repurposed Carbon Fiber scrap and Western Hemlock (an abundant but underutilized species of local timber) to produce the pre-fabricated tiny houses. The CRTC is covering the cost of all labor and lumber for the first home. We need your help to cover the cost of non-structural building materials (ie. windows, doors, insulation, bathroom fixtures, etc.) so we can get the first home built by the end of 2021.
If enough people are willing to make a small contribution we will be able to complete construction of this development and transform the lives of our homeless Veterans. Let’s stand up for those who stood up for us!

The CRTC creates job, helps fight homelessness, supports veterans and keeps carbon fiber out of landfill. We prove everyday that we can make a difference in the world and provide a hand up while we also help save the planet.
The CRTC designs, develops and manufactures products that utilize carbon fiber scrap. About 50 million pounds of carbon fiber scrap goes to landfill globally each year. We repurpose this material and use it to create jobs and provide employment to those who need a hand. We are about 2 key things - keeping carbon fiber out of landfill and creating family wage jobs. We now have 23 members on the team. Some were homeless before they began working with us and it is great to see how they have turned their lives around and have become amazing members of the community.
The CRTC greatly appreciates your support as we work to continue to help veterans with the new advanced cross laminated timber wall panel we have developed that will be used in conjunction with Pennies For Quarters to help build tiny homes to help get homeless veterans off of the street and to provide them with a simple decent place to live where they can be safe and can get support services and can achieve a sense of community and well being. We will continue to work to do all of this while creating more family wage jobs.
