Because of you . . . Clara has forever security.

Because of you . . . Beth's children are safe from lead poisoning.

Because of you . . . Richard's family is protected.

Buckeye Ridge Habitat for Humanity Habitat creates homeownership opportunities for low-income families - from construction to homebuyer education to the day they pay off their mortgages . . . for only $5.50 per person per day!

Buckeye Ridge Habitat for Humanity partners with families in Marion, Morrow, Hardin, and Wyandot Counties, offering homeownership opportunities which bring strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Clara retired after working hard her entire life and raising a large family, but after an unexpected setback she found herself living out of an old RV. Through her own sweat equity and community support she moved into her own home where she is secure and happy. She’s brought beauty to her neighborhood by creating a lovely flower garden in her front yard and she’s become a leader in the community, advocating for other families in need of affordable housing.

Beth and her kids lived in an unaffordable 1920’s duplex with lead paint. They were often ill, and doctors told Beth they were at risk for even more severe health issues like brain and kidney damage. After working with us and with the help of our partners and volunteers, we were able to help Beth purchase a new, safe, sustainable, and energy efficient home—free from hazardous lead. She reports the children are healthy and doing well in school!

You can make this a reality for more families.

Military veteran Richard worked hard on third-shift to make a living, only to come home to a leaky roof. He feared long term damage to his residence, the only investment he had been able to make. He had an income but he hadn’t been able to build credit to get traditional financing for a new roof. Habitat partnered with Richard to provide a new roof and a no-interest loan to pay for it. The home is now safer and more sustainable.

These are just a few of the ways we have built partnerships within our communities. Many more families are in the pipeline, completing their educational requirements and sweat equity.

Homeownership and critical home repairs are life-changing and can be crucial for the well-being of these families.

You can make this a reality for more families.
