The grant project, and this fundraiser will expand and support gardens in our network with the goal of increasing food security, volunteer participation, and resource sharing in underserved neighborhoods and communities around Asheville and Buncombe County. Among other things we would have an apprenticeship program where folks from the neighborhoods would get paid to help with gardens.

More About Bountiful Cities

Bountiful Cities is an urban agriculture non-profit founded in 2000. We partner with community groups, focusing on dialogue, trust and community needs, to create urban agricultural spaces. Our partnerships emphasize social justice, access to education, sustainability and economic viability. We share agricultural skills and resources to promote social justice and economic viability. Bountiful Cities participates with local, state and national organizations in advocating for our values and practices. We envision abundance and food sovereign communities.

Virtual FEAST Class

It's not easy to do FEAST programming in these uncertain times, but Ms. Jordan is taking it in stride! This super cute video shows the enthusiasm is present even if the kids are not.
