Today we are in the middle of a historic change moment in our country.  As our community addresses the pandemic and issues of law enforcement injustice, systemic racism and neighborhood devastation, artists will be crucial to lighting a path forward.  Now more than ever, our community needs to come together to ensure a shared, more equitable future, and Black Arts MKE is ready to help meet this challenge.

Since opening our doors in 2014, Black Arts MKE has served as Milwaukee's premier arts and culture organization dedicated to increasing the availability and quality of African American arts for our community.  Our goal is to be a catalyst for advancing racial equity and inclusion in Milwaukee, bringing people of all backgrounds together to create a more culturally vibrant and growing community.  We work with more than 100 performing artists of color each year, and like many other Black-led arts organizations across the country, we are in critical need of support.

As we evolve in response to the call for community change, Black Arts MKE will be central to driving new ways of being in the world.  We would like to increase the number of artists, programs and delivery methods that we offer to include monthly programming for youth and the public.
