$6,000 Goal

Please support our Scholarship Fund! If we raise $6,000 by Aug. 12 we have a chance to win grants that will help deserving children and teens benefit from free performing arts classes.

bergenPAC is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to make live performing arts and arts education accessible to everyone in the northern New Jersey community. With a 1,367-seat theater and performing arts school in downtown Englewood, NJ, bergenPAC is proud to serve as the region's cultural and economic anchor. The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC has programs for all ages and abilities in dance, music, and theater, while our educational outreach initiative brings teaching artist residencies, assemblies, and more to 15,000 students in public schools across the state.

Arts education benefits children and teens in a variety of ways, including increased confidence, emotional resilience, and enthusiasm for school. We established the Scholarship Fund at The Performing Arts School to ensure that no one is ever turned away from studying with us because their family cannot afford to pay. With 30% of our students receiving full or partial scholarships, this program brings together students who would not otherwise be able to develop their passion for the arts together while building meaningful relationships.

Here is one of our alumni who earned a scholarship to continue her studies at NYU.

The pandemic severely hurt our theater ticket and sponsorship revenue, which makes it harder to fund our mission-based programs. Unfortunately, our scholarship program saw an increased need as more families faced hardships due to the pandemic. It is so important that we can keep our scholarship program funded to ensure someone like Mya can join their peers and enjoy our lifechanging programs.
