In 2022, Sandy Valentine, one of the first donors to the building of My Sister's House, offered to host the first traditional English tea party as a fundraiser to benefit this transitional home for women, post-incarceration, as they rebuild their lives for a better future. This first event was so well received, it is now an annual Par-Tea!
Join us for an afternoon of finger sandwiches, assorted pastries, and a selection of fine teas. Listen to some brief details about tea, updates about the women being served by My Sister's House, and a guest speaker featured on the program.
Although a variety of China teacups will be available, guests are encouraged to bring their own favorite teacup and share its story at their table. Hats are not required, but they are certainly FUN and appropriate to an afternoon tea party!
