Seeds Of Hope

Seeds Of Hope is a horticultural and recreational community that brings new growth opportunities to adults with developmental and other disabilities.

WHAT WE DO

Our day programming teaches valuable life skills and provides enrichment by incorporating various aspects of horticultural therapy, healthy living, physical activity, and activities of daily living (ADLs). We modify individual tasks so that everyone is needed throughout the day. Some can wash pots, some can pull a wagon, others can use a screwdriver, and everyone can have fun throughout the day. Smiles are always an important part of our day, and friendships are sure to grow even if words cannot be spoken.  

We also have several community partnerships that empower us to bring those with developmental and other disabilities into our larger community and benefit local farmers, schools, small businesses, and library. When Seeds Of Hope is planting possibilities throughout the community, people come together and begin to recognize the beautiful seed in everyone that is waiting to blossom. Disabilities that are judged so harshly become unrecognizable because of confidence gained from this support.

WHAT YOUR DONATION WILL DO

Our home base is our learning, social, and horticulture center. At our home base, Seeds Of Hope offers a loving community in which individuals with developmental and other disabilities can excel, feel comfortable, and be supported. Everyone participates in both indoor and outdoor activities that they choose, which creates a creative and therapeutic environment for growth. Our supportive community provides opportunities for goals to be met and self-confidence to be gained no matter what abilities or disabilities are present. 

We provide a safe and inclusive environment for all, but our home base needs some improvements. We are currently fundraising to make our driveway a fully accessible roundabout. This project will guarantee safety and inclusivity in every aspect of our organization, and enable us to maximize our outreach and support for adults with developmental and other disabilities in the area. In order to see our community thrive, we all must Plant Possibilities.
