Hope Center Inc

Hope Center is a non-profit organization that has been preventing homelessness by providing the basic needs of financial assistance, food, clothing and furniture in Waukesha County for more than twenty years.  Our primary focus is providing these basic needs so that people can keep their homes and apartments and make ends meet.

The numbers tell the story best:  In 2016 over 40,000 visits were made to our free clothing shop and over 168,000 articles were given away; over 10,000 free breakfasts were served; 17,000 free lunches were served; over 12,000 free dinners were served; over 2,200 free furniture deliveries were made; many people were seen by our free outreach nurse and 260 people were referred for free legal services.  Our Day Center is also open daily so that people had a place to stay during the day. 

All of these goods and services were provided through a network of over 1,300 volunteers donating over 33,000 hours of their time.  Another key to Hope Center's success is the generosity of the community, donating 275,000 items of clothing, $235,000 worth of food items and over 1,900 furniture items in 2014. 

In these difficult economic times, more people than ever are coming to Hope Center for help in making ends meet.  We continue to provide these services in a cost-effective manner through heavy reliance on volunteers, donated items and your financial support.
