Hope Botanical Garden

A nonprofit organization

$9,745 raised by 64 donors

Hope Botanical Garden is a public garden in Lawrence County, Tennessee created by volunteers to provide visitors a window into the beauty and complexity of the plant world.  Development began in the Summer of 2017 and it opened in the Summer of 2022.

The Garden is a beautiful setting for individual enjoyment; a one-of-a-kind venue for public and private events, and a living classroom for horticultural and environmental lessons. Its four acres include a classic maze hedge and a meandering, three-quarter mile path leading to a water garden, a Japanese garden, a children's garden, a meditation garden, a native garden; a pink garden honoring breast cancer patients, and another honoring first responders.

The Garden relies on volunteers, memberships, and visitor admission fees, but needs financial support from donors for continued maintenance and expansion. A Visitors Center, now under construction by volunteers, requires additional donations in order to be completed.

Many residents in the rural area surrounding Hope Botanical Garden are moderate- to low-income. The Garden offers a unique opportunity to residents of the area, improving their quality of life now and for generations to come.
