Confluence was established in 2000 to provide a peaceful statement of unification through music for people with a range of sexual expressions and gender identities. A non-audition GALA chorus of about 60 members, Confluence performs nine formal concerts each year, with shows in Portland, Salem and Corvallis for a total audience of more than 3,000. Confluence also performs at community events, including Pride and the inauguration of Tina Kotek as Oregon Speaker of the House.
