Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert

Mission

For three decades, The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert has been a valuable community resource for children and families to experience the joy of learning about themselves and the world around them. The museum inspires personal growth by engaging curiosity and creativity through hands-on explorations of exhibits and programs.

Your support will help our reIMAGINATION Project and allow us to create a welcoming space for all children and their families.   We are reimagining our Main Gallery to create a brand new, whimsical, creative, exciting space for our 0-8-year-olds. The space will include creative ways to imagine, express, move, experiment, explore and dream and will be comprised of over 40 new exhibits!  We are also going to expand programming for older kids and we will be the first Autism-Certified Venue in the Valley with training for all staff members, sensory guides for all exhibits and a Low Sensory Zone and Calm Space for our visitors with those sensitivities.
