Our Mission: Hope, Connection, and Support

The Kentucky and Southern Indiana Stroke Association is dedicated to serving our community through vital education on stroke prevention and recovery. With a stroke occurring every 40 seconds in the United States, our work is more critical than ever. We operate on three fundamental pillars to ensure no survivor walks their path alone:

Our Pillars of Service:

HOPE: We strive to reduce the incidence of strokes through proactive education and awareness, empowering individuals to take control of their cardiovascular health.

CONNECTION: We create a space to share stories and experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding among those affected by stroke.

SUPPORT: We provide essential resources, individual guidance, and professional navigation for survivors and their families as they plan for future care.

How We Support Survivors:

Our dedicated resource social worker provides personalized assistance to stroke survivors through one-on-one consultations and group settings. We are proud to host a monthly "Young Survivor Support Group" and actively participate in various support networks throughout the Kentuckiana region.

We invite you to witness the resilience of our community. The survivors we serve are active, vibrant individuals who lead productive and fulfilling lives post-stroke. We encourage you to join our movement—whether you are looking to volunteer, donate, or connect with a support group, your involvement makes a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors. Together, we can build a future of recovery and strength.
