For 55 years, Catholic Charities of West Tennessee has put our Catholic faith into action by walking alongside our neighbors during some of life's most difficult moments.  A family struggling to put food on the table.  A mother needing diapers and essentials for her baby.  A veteran or young adult without a safe place to call home.

A neighbor who needs a shower, clean clothing, a meal—and someone willing to see their dignity and remind them that they are not alone.

From Crisis to Hope

Following the teachings of Jesus Christ, we affirm the dignity of all persons and provide compassionate support to our neighbors on their path from crisis to hope.

Across 21 counties in West Tennessee, Catholic Charities responds to immediate needs while helping our neighbors take meaningful steps toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.

Each year, that means:

• More than 670,000 meals provided to neighbors experiencing hunger and food insecurity.
• More than 800 neighbors helped move into permanent housing.
• Families with infants and young children receiving diapers, food, clothing and other essentials through Tiny Blessings.
• Individuals experiencing homelessness finding food, showers, clothing, case management and compassionate support through our Midtown Outreach Center.
• Thousands of neighbors reached through one of the largest Mobile Food Pantry networks in West Tennessee.
• Veterans, young adults and families receiving housing support and a pathway toward greater stability.

But behind every number is a person, and every person's journey looks different.  Sometimes hope begins with a bag of groceries.  Sometimes it begins with a set of keys.  Sometimes it is a clean shower, a package of diapers, help finding a job, or simply having someone say, “We are here, and we will walk with you.”
